Focused largely on deportation defense, Mr. Waldron has been practicing immigration law since 2015. He has presented cases in immigration courts in San Antonio, El Paso, Houston, Dallas, and Pearsall, Texas, New Orleans, Louisiana, Arlington, Virginia and York Pennsylvania. In 2016, he obtained an immigration bond for a client who was subject to mandatory detention based on previous deportations. In 2017, he successfully argued a case that granted Protection Under the Convention Against Torture to a Mexican national before Judge Robert Reid Mckee at Pearsall, Texas. Prior to this grant, Judge McKee had never awarded such relief to cases derived from gang violence in Mexico. In 2018, he was able to reverse a decision denying an immigration bond to a Mexican national who was convicted of domestic violence based on new evidence submitted to the court. That same year, he was able to obtain release of a Honduran refugee by reversing a negative credible fear finding and obtaining a parole from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In addition to his deportation defense practice, Mr. Waldron has also been successful on applying for visas for his clients through The United States Customs and Immigration Services. In 2016, he was granted a Mexican E-2 Treaty Investor Visa for a client who only had $20,000.00 to invest in his business venture. In 2017, he successfully appealed the rejection of an application for citizenship for a Legal Permanent Resident from Mexico who has several fraud and theft convictions.
In addition to his immigration practice, Mr. Waldron also practices federal tax law, focusing on Offers in Compromise and securing of Non-Profit IRS status for existing corporations.
